Foundation Developers Academy LBG, widely known as Developers Academy, is an enterprise support organisation (ESO) dedicated to empowering marginalized groups, particularly unemployed youth, women and PWDs, through its various incubation and acceleration programs. Our mission is deeply rooted in the pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), guiding individuals toward entrepreneurial success and fostering positive social impact. Our story began in 2018, when we first emerged as a social enterprise focused on providing mentorship and leadership support to students in Northern Ghana. This early initiative marked the beginning of our commitment to shaping the future of young people in the region, offering them the tools, resources, and guidance they needed to thrive. As we grew, our vision expanded beyond the original scope, prompting a rebranding in 2020 to become Foundation Developers Academy. This transition allowed us to formalize our work and increase our reach. Today, we are headquartered in the vibrant Oti regional capital, Dambai, and we operate with satellite offices in Keta (Volta Region) and Tamale (Northern Region). From these hubs, we continue to champion our core mission: nurturing and empowering young start-ups and entrepreneurs in Ghana and across the African continent. With a strong emphasis on key sectors such as entrepreneurship, smart industries, education, research, gender equality, agriculture, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and human rights, we have established a thriving ecosystem that supports the growth of over 250 start-ups. Of these, an impressive 65% are women-led businesses, underscoring our commitment to bridging the gender gap and fostering economic independence for women. Through our programs, we continue to build a diverse and resilient community of entrepreneurs, enabling them to drive innovation, create jobs, and contribute meaningfully to the economy. As we move forward, Foundation Developers Academy remains a key player in shaping the future of entrepreneurship in Ghana and beyond, creating lasting change through sustainable development and inclusive growth.
